We have several busy weekends in our near future, so Jeff and I decided to take off on Tuesday and have a little bit of quality time with our family. We took Jace to the Little Rock Zoo. We had a really great time! Here are some pictures from our day:

Jace waiting patiently in line to enter the zoo (and wondering where in the world he was)

| Jace is CRAZY about his Daddy |

Jace was mesmerized by all of the animals

| The new penguin exhibit was neat. We just wheeled Jace's stroller right next to the tank and he watched as they came close to the edge of the tank. |

I thought this lion was so pretty :)

The Lord is teaching me daily through having Jace in our lives. Things that have become 'normal' to me (such as animals) are so amazing to a 15 month old, curious little boy. We got to watch Jace soak in seeing all of these "real" animals that he has been learning to recognize on puzzles and books. He knows their sounds, but to see that they are real, living creatures was just eye-opening for him...and for me. We have SUCH a creative, intricate Father who is really caught up in the details. Going to the zoo, a fun family outing, was a good fresh reminder from the Lord. I want to be more caught up in the details, notice and appreciate the things that the Father has blessed us with on this earth... and how creative, thought out each thing that He created is. The cool thing is...He didn't have to bless us with seeing things this way, but He chose to, just to give us a small glimpse of Himself...WOW!
After the zoo, we made a stop in Conway to Shake's...a family favorite :)
